How Does Solar Power Work?
How long do Solar systems last?
Solar systems from Solar Power Solutions are built to be durable and long-lasting. Our panels come with a 5-year performance warranty, but in reality, they often last over 25 years. The inverters, which convert energy from DC to AC, also typically need replacement only after 25 years or more.
What do I need to get started on installing solar?
The first step is to conduct a solar audit and get a custom quote tailored to your location and energy needs. We’ll ask for details like your monthly electricity bill or yearly energy usage, the location for installation, and if you’re mounting the system on your roof, we’ll also need to know the roofing material, how old it is, and the slope. The more information you provide, the more precise and helpful our proposal will be.
How does Solar Work?
Solar panels convert sunlight into electricity using photovoltaic (PV) technology. This electricity is in Direct Current (DC), which is then changed to Alternating Current (AC) through an inverter, making it usable in your home or business. That power is then sent through your electrical panel and distributed to run your appliances and devices.
How many batteries come with a solar system
The number of batteries depends on your energy needs and budget. Each system is customized, so we design it based on what works best for you. If you require more backup power, additional batteries can easily be added later on.
Do you work only in Lagos?
No, we offer our services all across Nigeria. While our office is located in Lekki, Lagos, we have the capacity and logistics to deliver and install solar systems anywhere in the country.
What type of warranty is there?
We offer a minimum of 10-year product warranty on all materials and workmanship. Our performance warranty ensures your solar panels will still produce at least 90% of their rated power after 10 years, and 82% after 25 years. We also provide a service warranty that covers any installation-related issues at no extra cost.
How do I know if Solar is right for me?
If you’re looking to reduce your electricity bills, avoid the noise and stress of generators, enjoy consistent power, and invest in your property, solar might be a great fit. It also helps if you care about the environment and want to lower your carbon footprint. If any of these things matter to you, solar is worth considering—and we’re here to guide you through every step.
